Their story
Christine Manfield is an Australian chef, author and gastronomic traveller whose cooking explores global flavours and spice. Her restaurant history includes Paramount in Sydney (1993–2000), East@West in London (2003–2005) and Universal in Sydney (2007–2013). These are past restaurants, rather than current booking recommendations. Her books include Tasting India, Dessert Divas and Indian Cooking Class.
Work beyond Providoor
Christine’s work spans writing, mentoring, relationships with farmers and artisan producers, pop-up dining events and bespoke food tours. Since moving to the Tweed Coast in 2020, she has also focused on regional food and tourism. Her official website brings together her books, events and tour information, continuing the connection between travel, ingredients and the stories behind food.
