Ordering
How do I place an order on Providoor?
Browse our full menu, add meals to your cart, and check out through our secure online store. You can pay with Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay or Union Pay.
Is there a minimum order?
Yes. The minimum order is $80. Most customers spend around $159 per order, which typically covers several meals for the week or a dinner party spread.
Can I choose meals from different chefs in the same order?
Absolutely. You can mix and match dishes from any of our chefs in a single order. Try a Marco Pierre White main with a Silvia Colloca side and an Anna Polyviou dessert in the same cart.
Do I need an account to order?
You can check out as a guest, but creating an account lets you track orders, save your delivery details and reorder favourites quickly. You can create an account here.
Can I modify or cancel my order after placing it?
Because we process orders quickly, please contact our customer service team as soon as possible if you need to make changes. Once an order has been dispatched, it cannot be cancelled.
Delivery
Where does Providoor deliver?
We deliver to Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and regional areas along Australia's East Coast. Our regional deliveries are handled by BeCool, a specialist frozen logistics partner. You can check if we deliver to your area here.
Is there a delivery fee?
Delivery fees are charged according to your postcode. Metro delivery starts at $9.95. Check the website for your specific fee at checkout.
How are meals shipped?
All orders are packed in insulated boxes with ice bricks to keep everything frozen during transit. Your meals will arrive frozen and ready to go straight into the freezer.
Can I choose a delivery date?
You can select a preferred delivery window during checkout. Specific delivery times within that window cannot be guaranteed. You will receive tracking details via SMS approximately 24 hours before delivery.
What if I am not home when my order arrives?
Our drivers will leave your order in a safe spot, typically your front door. You can add delivery instructions at checkout. Because the packaging is designed to keep meals frozen for the transit period, we recommend putting them in your freezer as soon as you can.
Do you deliver to apartments?
Yes. For accessible buildings, the driver will deliver to your unit door. For secure buildings without access, parcels are left near the intercom or lobby area. Please add any access codes or buzzer details in your delivery notes.
Food Quality
Are Providoor meals fresh or frozen?
Our meals are frozen, not fresh. Every dish is cooked in small batches by our chefs, then snap frozen (also called flash frozen) immediately to seal in the flavour and nutrients. This means no preservatives are needed.
Who are the chefs?
Our roster includes some of the biggest names in Australian and international food. Marco Pierre White holds three Michelin stars and famously trained Gordon Ramsay. George Calombaris, Manu Feildel, Silvia Colloca, Justin Narayan, Anna Polyviou, Christine Manfield and Luke Nguyen also create dishes for Providoor. You can meet all our chefs here.
Do meals contain preservatives or artificial additives?
No. Our meals are preservative-free. Snap freezing is the preservation method, which means no artificial additives are required to keep meals fresh.
How long do meals last in the freezer?
Meals can be stored in your home freezer for several months. Each product has a best-before date printed on the packaging. For the best taste and texture, we recommend consuming meals within the timeframe listed on the pack.
What ingredients are used?
Each product page on our website lists the full ingredients. We use high-quality, restaurant-grade produce. For example, our chicken dishes use free-range chicken.
Reheating
How do I reheat Providoor meals?
Most meals can be reheated on the stove top or in the microwave. Specific reheating instructions are included on every meal's packaging and product page. Some dishes may also be suitable for the oven.
Do I need to defrost meals before cooking?
For the best results, always defrost your meals fully in the fridge before reheating. Cooking from frozen can cause uneven heating or overcooking. We recommend a FIFO rotation: when your order arrives, put your first picks in the fridge and the rest in the freezer. As you finish a meal, move the next one from freezer to fridge. Check the instructions on each meal for specific reheating times.
How long does it take to prepare a meal?
Most Providoor meals are ready to serve in under 15 minutes. That includes reheating time. No prep, no chopping, no mess.
Will the meals taste as good as a restaurant?
That is the whole idea. Our chefs develop each recipe to taste exactly as it would in their restaurant. Snap freezing locks in the flavour at the point of cooking, so when you reheat, you are getting restaurant-quality results at home.
Dietary
Does Providoor cater for dietary requirements?
Yes. We offer meals across several dietary categories including vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, dairy free and low calorie. You can shop by dietary requirement here.
Is allergen information available?
Yes. Allergen information is listed on every product page. If you have a severe allergy, we recommend reading the full ingredients list on the packaging as well, since our meals are prepared in kitchens that handle multiple allergens.
Are there kid-friendly options?
Yes. We have a dedicated kid-friendly collection with meals designed to appeal to younger eaters.
Gifting
Can I send Providoor meals as a gift?
Yes. We offer gift cards that let the recipient choose their own meals. It is a great option for birthdays, housewarmings, new parents, or anyone going through a tough time. The gift card is delivered digitally, so there is no waiting.
Can I include a personal message with a gift card?
Yes. You can add a personalised message when purchasing a gift card. The recipient will receive it via email along with instructions on how to redeem it.
Do gift cards expire?
Gift card terms and conditions are outlined at the time of purchase. We recommend checking the current terms on our gift card page
