Marco Pierre White's Signature Bolognese reimagines the timeless classic with the care and precision of a three-Michelin-star chef. Succulent grass-fed veal and free-range pork are simmered to perfection with aromatic herbs, creating a rich, deeply flavourful sauce the whole family will love.
This is not a weeknight shortcut bolognese. Marco's recipe takes the time to build layers of flavour that you simply cannot achieve in 30 minutes. The result is a sauce with genuine depth, body, and richness that coats every strand of pasta beautifully.
Defrosted: Pour contents into a medium-size pot and heat on medium for 7 minutes, stirring occasionally. Keep covered throughout
Frozen: Pour contents into medium-size pot, start on low heat for 5 minutes, gently loosening the frozen contents with a wooden spoon. Add two teaspoons of water and stir, then increase to medium and cook for 7-9 more minutes. Keep covered throughout.
Serve over al dente pasta and enjoy.
Microwave
Snip a small hole in the top of the pouch and place on a microwave safe dish.
Defrosted: Heat in the microwave for 3-5 minutes, until hot.
Frozen: Heat in the microwave for 6-8 minutes, until hot.
Serve over al dente pasta and enjoy.
Cooking instructions are based on standard fan forced home ovens, stoves, and microwaves. Cooking times may vary. Always check that the internal temperature reaches 75°C before serving. For best results, cook from defrosted.

“This bolognese is all about depth. Minced beef and pork slowly cooked with soffritto, wine and tomatoes until the sauce is rich and silky. No tricks — just classic, proper food done well.”

This is my favourite dish with Providoor. It’s very tasty with a good combination of ingredients. It’s nice and light and not heavy or oily like lasagna tends to be. Generous servings and I actually got 4 serves out of it.
I took one star off for incorrect instructions. Firstly the box it comes in does not even state what temperature the oven should be on. Secondly, the instructions say best cooked defrosted. I missed this the first time I cooked it and cooked straight from frozen and it was delicious. The second time I followed the instructions and it was rather soggy. My brother is a chef and he said it’s best to cook from frozen as pasta tends to go soggy and be over-soft once thawed and the sauce will be watery. I found this out first hand. I also don’t like that these meals are to be cooked in plastic containers.

Lots of veggies and delicious sauce. If I was making myself would include more chicken. Shared between 2 I found myself a little hungry after.

It appears that your voucher belongs to the old Providoor, which, unfortunately, is not us. :(
We understand how much the original Providoor meant to many Australians, especially during the challenging times of COVID. It provided a way to enjoy high-quality meals from beloved restaurants in the comfort of your home. We also understand that some of you may still hold vouchers from the previous iteration of Providoor, and we sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
When the original Providoor, unfortunately, went into administration, we made the decision to purchase the brand because we recognised its significance to so many Australians. Providoor was more than just a business; it was a source of comfort, connection, and joy during tough times. However, while we have revived and rebranded Providoor to focus on delivering gourmet frozen meals from celebrity chefs, we are a completely new company with a different business model and operations.
This means that we do not have any obligation to honour the vouchers issued by the previous company, as those financial liabilities were not transferred to us during the acquisition. We know this may be disappointing news, but please understand that we are committed to making this transition as smooth as possible for our valued customers.
Thank you again for your understanding and for being a part of Providoor’s journey. We are committed to providing you with the highest quality gourmet experiences, and we look forward to serving you in the future.
Warm regards, The Providoor Team
