How to Choose Frozen Curries for Your Household
The right curry order depends on who is eating, the ingredients they need to avoid and how you want to prepare dinner. Use this checklist before choosing from the curry meal range.
Start with ingredients and heat
Read the ingredient and allergen declaration for each dish, including trace warnings. A coconut-based sauce is not enough on its own to establish a dietary claim. Check the current product’s stated heat level rather than relying on the curry name.
Count portions and sides
Use the serving count on each curry pack, then plan rice, naan or vegetables separately. Check whether you are buying a complete meal or just the curry. Compare the total order for your household, rather than the price of a single pack.
Match the method to your evening
Some curries have microwave instructions; others use a saucepan. Read the product-specific directions before ordering and allow time for refrigerator defrosting. Our curry preparation guide explains how to find the right steps.
When you have decided, shop the current curry collection.
Prepare each dish as directed
Defrost in the refrigerator before use for best results, unless the product specifically directs cooking from frozen. Follow the latest packaging and product instructions for the method, temperature and each cooking stage. Do not submerge food or packaging in water to defrost or reheat.
