Manu Feildel is one of Australia's most loved French chefs. Born in France and raised in a family of restaurateurs, Manu moved to Australia in 1999 and quickly became a household name through his role as co-host and judge on My Kitchen Rules, one of the country's highest-rating television shows.

Manu's cooking is rooted in the French bistro tradition: honest, comforting and built on technique. His career spans some of Sydney's most respected French restaurants, and his passion for sharing the joy of French home cooking has inspired millions of Australians.

Through Providoor, Manu brings his signature French comfort food to kitchens across Australia's East Coast. Every dish is prepared following his exact recipes, designed to deliver restaurant-quality French cooking to your kitchen table, no reservation required.

Why Manu Feildel Partners with Providoor

Manu has always believed that great French food should not be reserved for fine dining restaurants. His partnership with Providoor extends that philosophy beyond the bistro, making his celebrated French dishes accessible to families across Australia's East Coast.

"French cooking is about love and technique. It does not need to be complicated. A perfectly made fricassee, a silky pomme puree, that is what makes people happy. That is what I want to bring to every Providoor customer."

From My Kitchen Rules to Your Kitchen

For over a decade, Australians watched Manu Feildel on My Kitchen Rules. His warmth, charm and exacting French standards made him one of the show's most beloved judges. His honest feedback and infectious passion for food inspired home cooks across the country to embrace French cooking.

Born in France, Manu grew up surrounded by food. His grandfather was a restaurateur, and cooking was the family language. After training in some of France's finest kitchens, Manu brought his skills to Australia, working at acclaimed Sydney restaurants before television made him a household name.

Now, through Providoor, that same calibre of French cooking is available to anyone on Australia's East Coast. No restaurant queue, no city trip, just Manu's food on your table.

Manu's Cooking Philosophy

Technique First

French cooking is built on technique. Every dish is made with precision, patience and care.

Comfort Always

French bistro food is comfort food. Rich, hearty, satisfying. Food that makes you feel at home.

Simple Done Well

Great food does not need to be complicated. A few quality ingredients, treated with respect, create something extraordinary.

How to Reheat Manu's Meals

⚠️ Important: Always defrost in the fridge first

All Providoor meals must be fully defrosted in the fridge before reheating. Do not cook from frozen, as this causes uneven heating and burning.

FIFO rotation: When your order arrives, put your favourite meals in the fridge first (so they defrost), and store the rest in the freezer. As you eat a fridge meal, move one from the freezer to the fridge to defrost next.

Oven method (recommended): Preheat to 180 degrees Celsius (160 degrees Celsius fan-forced). Place defrosted meal in an oven-safe dish, cover with foil. Heat for 25 to 35 minutes. Remove foil for the last 5 minutes for a golden finish.

Stovetop method: For the Chicken Fricassee, place defrosted contents in a medium saucepan on medium heat with a lid. Stir occasionally and cook for 8 to 12 minutes until heated through. The sauce should be slightly thick and coat the back of a spoon.

Microwave method (quick): Remove outer packaging. Pierce film lid of tray before heating or transfer contents to a microwave-safe container. Heat on HIGH for 4 to 5 minutes. Stir well, then heat for a further 1 to 2 minutes if required. Stand for 1 minute. Stir before serving.

It appears that your voucher belongs to the old Providoor, which, unfortunately, is not us. :(

We understand how much the original Providoor meant to many Australians, especially during the challenging times of COVID. It provided a way to enjoy high-quality meals from beloved restaurants in the comfort of your home. We also understand that some of you may still hold vouchers from the previous iteration of Providoor, and we sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

When the original Providoor, unfortunately, went into administration, we made the decision to purchase the brand because we recognised its significance to so many Australians. Providoor was more than just a business; it was a source of comfort, connection, and joy during tough times. However, while we have revived and rebranded Providoor to focus on delivering gourmet frozen meals from celebrity chefs, we are a completely new company with a different business model and operations.

This means that we do not have any obligation to honour the vouchers issued by the previous company, as those financial liabilities were not transferred to us during the acquisition. We know this may be disappointing news, but please understand that we are committed to making this transition as smooth as possible for our valued customers.

Thank you again for your understanding and for being a part of Providoor’s journey. We are committed to providing you with the highest quality gourmet experiences, and we look forward to serving you in the future.

Warm regards,
The Providoor Team
