At 16 he began his journey into the culinary world at Le Gavroche in London with only "£7.36, a box of books and a bag of clothes" to his name. At 24 he became the Head Chef and Joint Owner of Harveys. Marco Pierre White made history as the first British chef to earn three Michelin stars and the youngest ever to achieve this prestigious accolade.
Now known to the world as the Godfather of Modern Cooking, Marco has mentored a variety of well known chefs including Mario Batali, Shannon Bennett, Gordon Ramsay, Curtis Stone, Phil Howard and Stephen Terry. Renowned for his uncompromising standards, he’s even been quoted as being the only chef to make Gordon Ramsay cry!
